Super thrilled to share that this October, I’ll be navigating the seas aboard Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas for the Wander Beyond Retreat, surrounded by leading travel industry mavens like Cyndi Williams and many more. It’s time to delve into why this retreat is a golden ticket for travel advisors like me, and how it spells out great news for my clients. Let’s unpack the adventure that awaits!
Why Never-Ending Learning Matters in Travel
Staying on top of the game in the ever-evolving travel industry requires constant learning and connecting with seasoned experts. People like Cyndi Williams, the brain behind Wanderlust Campus and the Wander Beyond Retreat, are like our GPS, guiding us to grow our business strategically while staying tuned to the industry’s pulse. The speakers lined up for this retreat bring to the table a whopping 40 years of collective industry experience, enough to weather any storm, including the COVID tornado that shook our industry. They’re like the industry’s superheroes, always at the ready to crack any challenge that comes our way. Beyond keeping pace with industry trends, retreats like Wander Beyond are a fantastic opportunity to rub shoulders with a community that speaks the same travel love language. These experiences are like a treasure trove for my professional growth, leaving me with a revitalized sense of purpose and a suitcase full of ideas to enrich my services for my clients.
Why Wander Beyond Retreat Caught My Eye
While there’re countless learning and travel opportunities popping up on a travel advisor’s radar, Wander Beyond stands out from the crowd, which is why I was drawn to it. An interesting tidbit shared by Wanderlust Campus Founder Cyndi Williams about Wander Beyond is its unique focus on fueling the growth and development of travel advisors.
Wander Beyond brings us a fresh perspective on advisor development. The event, uniquely free from supplier sponsorships, allows us to delve into specifics and listen to advisors’ needs. It’s refreshing to see a focus on education rather than pushing products. I’m a fan! The classes offered are tailored around my needs, helping me forge ahead. Business financials, social media, client care, and mindset – you name it, I’ll be learning it. I know I’ll walk away with a clear roadmap for personal and professional growth. We also get the chance to explore destinations firsthand with unique field trips. These are golden opportunities to soak up expert knowledge and share our own insights. I’ve always found this interactive learning approach beneficial, as it allows me to learn from others with different strengths. This year, we’re off to Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Utopia of the Seas. With stops at Coco Cay and Nassau Bahamas, it’s an adventure I’m eagerly counting down to. Cyndi and her team have fostered a wonderful culture at Wanderlust campus community. Like a big, warm family, we lift each other up rather than tear each other down. It’s a safe, encouraging space to learn, ask questions, and grow together.
Now, let me tell you about Utopia of the Seas, our magnificent host. This Oasis Class ship will be just about three months old when we step aboard. It features itineraries visiting Nassau, Bahamas, and Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at Coco Cay. If you love the water, you’re in for a treat! The ship and Coco Cay combined boast eighteen slides, ten pools, seven beaches, and two kids’ aqua parks. But it’s not just for the water babies! If you love food as much as I do, you’ll be spoilt for choice aboard the Utopia. From favorites like Izumi Hibachi and Sushi to new delights like Royal Railway-Utopia Station, your taste buds are in for a journey. And let’s not forget the southern soul food vibe of The Mason Jar. It’s sure to warm your heart!
The entertainment on this new ship has me buzzing with excitement! I’m already anticipating the thrill of the water theatre and the innovative production of All In! Those of you who love a good chuckle are in for a treat at the Comedy Club, and for the competitive souls out there, you’re going to love Friendly Feud and Battle of the Sexes.
The Value of Ongoing Learning for Me as an Advisor
As a travel advisor, it’s my responsibility to seize every chance to learn from industry pros. The nature of our work means travel is a given, and the internet offers plenty of networking and training opportunities. However, nothing beats the face-to-face interaction at events like Wander Beyond. I’ve had the fortune of meeting colleagues at these types of events who have guided me to make smarter business choices and enhance how I serve my clients. While online options are handy, in-person learning amps up the motivation and gives an energy boost that online courses can’t replicate. Plus, setting aside dedicated time and space for learning helps me prioritize my professional growth.
The Benefit of Ongoing Learning for You as a Traveler
As a traveler, it’s worthwhile to keep an eye on how your advisor is spending their time. The best ones are always looking for ways to level up their services, and one way they do this is by investing in their professional growth. At events like Wander Beyond Retreat, we uncover innovative ways to serve our clients – from offering new services to sharing insider tips and tricks, and even things we’ve picked up on our own travels. I’ve found that these learning experiences also help me consider which of my current and future clients would enjoy the ship I’m exploring or the destination I’m visiting. I’m thrilled to be attending Wander Beyond to connect, develop new skills, and boost client service. I’m eager to apply what I learn to create tools and resources that will help my clients for many years. Want to join the ride?
